This is an interesting one. We currently have a top news section that is based on the top news feed from theglobeandmail.com . We also have a popular section based on all of your ratings. Would you prefer the ability for editors to make certain stories ‘sticky’ so that they always stay at the top of the sections? If not, what is the best way in your mind to derive “top news”

Provide a way to exclude 'Sports' from 'Top Stories' or at least add a 'News' category

I'm not a sports fan, so the 'Top Stories' is pretty much a waste for me, but then there is no way for me to find the rest of the news that doesn't fit elsewhere.

Please either:
1. Provide a way to show/hide categories of stories.
2. Add a 'News' category without Sports/Arts/etc...

I've been waiting for the WSJ on spreed forever. They don't have an iPhone app, so you guys should build it for them!

Articles are sometimes MUCH shorter than in the paper or on website (e.g., Rubin, Peak Oil: 3 paras on iPhone version; 10 paras of website full article)

Push new news items to the app and store in offline mode. iPod touch users can grab and go, reading the morning news on their commute without worrying about a wifi connection.

Spreed reading doesn't work offline. Articles take a longer time to load offline which shouldn't be true.

Multitasking

With my iPhone I do several things at the same time so I have to go back and forth between different apps. But everytime I return to globe and mail app, it starts over from the loading screen. And it does not even continue on from the page that I was viewing so I have to look for the article and open it again. It is really annoying and wasting time. I am pretty sure that this is the main reason for that there are still ppl who don't like the app although it has good contents. This app must support multitasking function.
